They say “Bloom where you are planted.”
Sometimes, though, it feels like you’ve been “transplanted.”
A decision. A choice. A wrong action–something that takes you out of fertile soil into rock.
You feel the thorns press against you. The stones in your way. There are days of drought and storms of sand.
But you bloom anyway.
Because that is what you were created to do.
Effortlessly. Beautifully. Colorfully bloom.
And then you realize something.
You see that even the desert needs a bit of hope and beauty.
And you come to know that you are exactly where you need to be.
“The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. . . they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.” Isaiah 35:1-3
