Teething for babies can definitely be a challenging time for babies and parents alike. With a mouthful of soreness and pain, baby has no choice but to fuss, wake constantly at night, cling to you for dear life and chew on everything in sight.
Unfortunately for parents, conventional options don’t always offer lasting or safe solutions. Numbing creams like Orajel don’t seem to work for very long (and have questionable ingredients) and pain relievers, such as Tylenol and Motrin are toxic to the body, especially if used repeatedly. Then, there is the onslaught of teething toys made from lead, BPA, and a number of other highly toxic chemicals. (Just because it’s made for baby, doesn’t mean it’s safe.) So, what exactly can a parent do?
Here are some options that have gotten us through the tough times and made them so much sweeter:
1.100% Genuine Baltic Amber Necklaces–Amber necklaces made with genuine beads provide all-natural pain relief for babies when worn throughout the day. Although it is not recommended for babies to chew on the beads, they work well around the neck for numbing and soothing.
2. Chamomilla 200–This homeopathic remedy has been the greatest blessing for those fussy nights. With just two little pellets, my baby would be peacefully asleep within minutes. I would also sleep peacefully knowing that she was not getting a medication with harmful side effects. Yes, these amazing little pills are all-natural and perfectly safe for baby. 3. Lilac and Lavender Baby Teether Ring–These are such sweet teethers for chewing! The chewy parts are made from 100% food grade silicone, and the wooden ring is organic. It is also guaranteed to be free of BPA, lead, phthalates, and PVC!
4. Chewbeads Necklaces and Teethease Pendant Necklaces–These were fun for me, and a nice little treat for my baby when we were out and about. I loved that they were also free of harsh chemicals and were a stylish way to give my baby some teething relief.
With just a little preparation, baby will have all she needs for those irritating teething challenges.
