You may be a new mom, wondering what to do about vaccines. Or maybe you’ve always vaccinated your children but are now questioning it a bit more and just aren’t as sure. You may be a dad, who just overheard a conversation about vaccines and are wondering if they’re really that bad. You may have started researching and found yourself even more confused, more overwhelmed. There’s just so much information everywhere, and you don’t know what to make of it all.
Whom should you trust? Whom do you believe? And what should you do?
If there was one thing I want you to know, it’s this: Don’t let fear drive you. Pray, my friend. Pray for wisdom and guidance and trust that God will lead you every step of the way.
Every child is so very different, and each family has different needs that must be considered. There is no one-size-fits-all approach that ever works for everyone. The truth is, there will be risk whatever decision you make. My hope is that with this information you can better assess those risks in order to make an informed choice and do what is best for your family.
In order to do this, you’ll need to understand a few things. First of all, the CDC recommended vaccine schedule that your pediatrician will reference has never been tested for safety. Our children are now advised to receive 74 doses of vaccines from pregnancy to 18 years of age. This is far more than previous generations, the greatest of increases occurring in 1989 after Congress exempted all vaccine manufacturers from liability concerning vaccine injuries and deaths.
These vaccines and their ingredients all carry risks that we as parents need to assess prior to making our choices regarding vaccination. An accumulation of toxins and viruses and bacteria during the early years of development may prove harmful to some children, and many of the chronic illnesses we now see can be linked to vaccines, such as allergies, asthma, seizures, speech delays, ADD, autism, Type 1 diabetes, sensory processing disorder, etc. and even SIDS. Unfortunately, few studies have been done to determine who is most at risk, and oftentimes, parents do not find out until it is too late.
Because of this, I urge you to consider the ingredients used in vaccines, specific risks associated with certain vaccines, and your rights overall when making your ultimate decisions. Knowing this information will help you choose a plan that works specifically for your family.
1. Vaccine Ingredients
We’ve been told so many times that vaccines are safe that it hasn’t always occurred to us to even question the ingredients. Isn’t it just a bit of liquid with some inactivated viruses? Not exactly. Some of the most toxic substances known to man can actually be found in our infant and children’s vaccines. Some vaccines contain heavy metals, such as aluminum and mercury along with known carcinogens that have been found to cause cancer.
This is why it is so important for you to read the vaccine insert. You need to know what is going into your baby and the possible risks involved. Here are some important ingredients to consider.
You may have heard that aluminum can lead to kidney failure and brain damage as it is a known neurotoxin, linked to neurodevelopmental conditions, such as Alzheimer’s and ADD. What you may have also heard, however, is that aluminum is not that big of a deal since it is “the most abundant element on earth,” found in the air, food, and even breastmilk. You may have been told that the aluminum we consume is eliminated within 24 hours and that the amounts found in vaccines are far below safety recommendations.
This may sound convincing, but the problem is that babies don’t CONSUME vaccines.
When aluminum is consumed, it goes through various filtration systems in the body that allow it to be more easily excreted from the system. Injected aluminum bypasses those filtration systems and goes straight into the bloodstream, crossing the blood-brain barrier.
In vaccines, aluminum is specifically used as an adjuvant BECAUSE of its ability to stay in the body and elicit an antibody response. (This is what can often create allergies in children.)
You need to know that the FDA has a maximum limit of 25 mcg of aluminum in an IV solution per day. Injected aluminum in other medications has a safety limit of 5 mcg per kg per day for a healthy adult. The safety limit for injected aluminum in vaccines given to infants and children has never been studied, but given the adult standards, we can calculate that an 8 pound newborn can “safely” tolerate about 18 mcg of injected aluminum.
The Hepatitis B vaccine he is advised to receive within 24 hours of birth, however, will contain over 250 mcg of aluminum! If you follow the CDC recommended vaccine schedule, you can also expect that this amount will exceed 1000 mcg per well-child visit. Click here for a vaccine ingredient calculator that will tell you exactly how much injected aluminum your child will receive at each visit. You can also find more information on the vaccine insert or CDC excipient list, which also lists all ingredients used in the manufacturing process. Knowing this information can help you determine which vaccines, if any, to eliminate in order to lessen the load of aluminum toxicity.
This is another ingredient you’ll need to really consider. Up until recently, mercury was always known to be a hazardous substance and one of the most dangerous known to man. Since then, we’ve been told that we have nothing to worry about because it’s been removed from childhood vaccines. We’ve also been told that the mercury found in fish or methyl-mercury is much more toxic than the type used in vaccines, which is ethyl-mercury. What exactly should you believe?
Well, here’s something you should know. Thimerosal has been proven to cause neurodevelopmental disorders, and yet, it has not been removed from all childhood vaccines or vaccines in general. The FDA allowed for the manufacturers to remove it from the label if it was used in “trace amounts” in a capacity other than a preservative. Trace amounts of mercury can still be found in the single-dose or “thimerosal-free” flu shots along with one DTaP and DTaP/Hib vaccine. (Click here for a full excipient list of ingredients found in vaccines.) Multi-dose flu shots also contain thimerosal and are often recommended along with TDaP to pregnant women. These recommendations, however, have never been studied for safety. If you go to VAERS, the government database for vaccine adverse reactions, you’ll see that these vaccines have been linked to fetal deaths. A closer look at medical billing documents have also begun to show these links.
Another important bit of information you may find helpful is that studies on ethyl-mercury did, in fact, show that it cleared the bloodstream within 4-7 days. Vaccine advocates, along with the CDC webpage, use this argument to convince others that it is safe. What they came to find, however, is that the mercury never left the body, via urine, hair, etc. A future study with primates showed that the ethyl-mercury cleared the blood but lingered in the brain much longer as inorganic mercury. This is of greater concern and warrants further investigation. To date, there is no study that confirms the safety of injected mercury in vaccines.
Aborted Fetal Tissue and Animal Proteins
When it first came out that vaccines contained aborted fetal DNA and tissue, it was instantly denied by the mainstream. Once the truth began to seep out more and more, however, the narrative changed to minimize the gravity of the situation, stating that only two abortions were done, and the benefit to humanity was far worth it.
This isn’t exactly true. You need to know that over 80 abortions were done in order to find the two cell lines that are presently being used in the Varicella and MMR vaccines alone. Morally and ethically this may be of concern to you as new abortions are necessary in order to maintain current vaccines and create new ones. You see, aborted fetal cell lines become more tumerogenic over time. This means that they become more and more cancerous each time they replicate. Since we have used the same cell lines since the 1960’s, we have seen an increase in childhood cancers, specifically lymphoma and leukemia. Producing new cell lines, however, would require further abortions, as is the case with new vaccines in development.
Other concerns of injecting infant DNA or foreign animal proteins into the bloodstream involve greater risks for autoimmunity, such as lupus, Type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and much more. Aborted fetal DNA cell lines are listed as MRC-5, WI-38, human diploid cells, etc. Watch this interview for more information. Foreign animal proteins include monkey kidney cells, Madin Darby Canine Kidney, Mueller’s Growth Medium, etc.
Other Worrisome Ingredients
Other worrisome ingredients that you may want to research further include, formaldehyde, a known carcinogen; monosodium glutamate, a known neurotoxin; and Polysorbate 80, which is linked to anaphylactic shock. Because these are injected rather than ingested, they pose a greater toxicity load to the body.
A recent study also found unknown contaminants in vaccines, such as lead, chromium, iron, silicon, other heavy metals and even glycophospate. These unknown contaminants were found in 30 different vaccines and were found to be non-biocompatible once in the body. Presently, the effects of these contaminants is unknown.
I hope this helps you better know what to look for when you read the vaccine insert AND the excipient lists for the specific ingredients used. Knowing this will help you better assess the risk-to-benefit ratio associated with these ingredients so that you can choose wisely.
2. Specific Vaccine Concerns
Now, let’s take a look at the specific vaccines. Click here to take a look at the entire recommended CDC schedule. Over and over again, we hear how we need to vaccinate for all of these “vaccine-preventable” diseases that can lead to death, and many of us do so without question. The reality, however, is that the mortality rates for every single one of those diseases dropped significantly before vaccines were even introduced due to sanitation and hygiene efforts–even many that we don’t have vaccines for, such as typhoid and scarlet fever.
Before the measles vaccine was created, for example, the measles was simply seen as a mild illness with very little risk in our country. Brady Bunch episodes and children’s books tell of a time when the measles and even mumps were no big deal. Fear campaigns began after the vaccines were created in order to convince parents to vaccinate their children against what were considered such minor diseases.
It’s important to gain some historical perspective when evaluating the need for certain vaccines. Here are three that I believe to have the least benefit for most of our children. I encourage you to evaluate your personal situation and assess these along with the rest of the vaccines on the schedule to determine which, if any, are truly worth the risk for your family.
This vaccine is probably the least necessary in my opinion. It is given at birth to infants and throughout the first year of life. As mentioned above, it contains 256 mcg of aluminum, far exceeding the safety limit of injected aluminum for an adult and protects against a disease that is only transmitted sexually, via needles, or by sharing personal items with an infected person, such as razors or toothbrushes.
Consider this, the adult vaccine for Hepatitis B only provides immunity for up to 4 years. It is unknown how long the infant version will last, but even if it lasted a bit longer, it would still most likely wear off before the child was even at risk for contracting the disease! A couple of studies also found that boys receiving the Hep B shot as infants were 3 times more likely to get autism and 9 times more likely to need special education and be developmentally disabled. Unless Hepatitis B is a threat in your family, the risk of the vaccine is most likely far greater than the risk of infection.
The Gardasil vaccine was fast-tracked into the mainstream with little evidence of safety back in 2006. It is estimated that over 500,000 adverse reactions have occurred worldwide, including DEATH, PARALYSIS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, cervical cancer, infertility, and more. It’s also important to note that other countries, including Japan, Spain, and India, have removed Gardasil from their recommendations because of the harm done to their citizens.
This has caused vaccine profits to plummet, so Merck is now lobbying for legislation to allow children the right to consent to Gardasil on school campuses without parental consent. (This bill was introduced in Texas this year. Find out what’s happening in your state.) They’ve also conducted studies ON INFANTS in order to “sneak” it into the already saturated recommended schedule. Further research would show that it has not even been proven to reduce the incidences of cervical cancer. This is most likely one you may consider eliminating from your schedule.
The flu vaccine is often a topic of controversy, but here’s what you need to know. When you hear about all of the “flu deaths” on the television, you need to understand that flu and pneumonia deaths are lumped together in the records. The majority of these deaths are often linked to pneumonia with no real proof of what virus or strain caused it. Further research has shown that actual-verified flu deaths are much lower in number.
In addition, the flu vaccine usually only has an efficacy rate of about 50%, if not less, as the scientists do their best to “guess” which strains will most likely be contagious. Unfortunately, the shot does not come without risk. A specific vaccinated vs. unvaccinated study showed that people receiving the flu shot were 5 times more likely to acquire a respiratory infection following vaccination. This has also been seen in infants born to mothers, who received the flu vaccine while pregnant. Anecdotal evidence has been shown in schools that have had to shut down due to illnesses following mass flu vaccinations on campuses.
Another precaution is that the H1N1 portion, found in the current flu vaccine, is linked to narcolepsy, which has also been recently instigated in SIDS. Please know that the flu vaccine has never been tested for safety on pregnant women. According to the Department of Justice, this vaccine was linked to the largest number of adverse reactions last year. It also contains mercury in multi-dose vials and in trace amounts for single-vial doses, which is not safe for anyone. Given this information, it is ultimately up to you to decide which risk you’d rather take. Click here for non-toxic treatment alternatives that you may consider if you or a family member gets the flu.
3. How We Compare to the World
When making a decision as to which vaccines to give your child, it’s important to gain some worldly perspective as well. We vaccinate far more than other industrialized countries in the world and yet have one of the highest incidences of infant mortality. We also are one of the only countries that vaccinate at birth and have the highest first-day deaths for newborns out of 68 countries! We also have some of the highest rates of autism and chronic illnesses that have been linked to the number of vaccine doses given.
As an example, Japan postponed all vaccinations to two years of age and saw a huge reduction in infant mortality rates. Japan also does not recommend the MMR or Gardasil vaccine and is presently filing a class action lawsuit against Merck because of the injuries that Gardasil caused to many of its citizens. Spain, India, and France also do not support the Gardasil vaccine. Most countries do not vaccinate for rotavirus or varicella. Look below for a side-by-side description of chicken pox based on whether or not a vaccine is available.
Gaining some worldly perspective may help you realize that it’s perfectly okay to adjust the schedule to best meet your family’s needs.
4. Vaccine Reactions
One of the things I have come to find is that when a vaccine reaction occurs, it is often rendered minor, normal, or coincidental. Oftentimes, children are taken after hours to the emergency room, and the connection is never made. I have read countless stories of parents, who unknowingly witnessed a preliminary reaction or were told that one was coincidental and continued vaccinating until irreparable harm was done.
Read the vaccine insert for specific side effects to consider. I also encourage you to visit the VAXXED homepage and listen to some of the testimonies of other parents. It will help you better recognize if an adverse reaction occurs in order to prevent further harm. If your child does have an adverse reaction, please make sure to report it to VAERS and your doctor and seek the help of a DAN (Defeat Autism Now) practitioner, who can help with recovery.
5. Know Your Rights
At this time, we are still allowed to choose what is best for our families in many states, excluding California, West Virginia, and Mississippi. Here’s some specific information to consider and ways to protect those rights.
Understand State Exemptions
We’ve often been told that children need to up-to-date on vaccinations in order to attend daycare, public schools, or even college. This isn’t true in most states, and you need to know your rights. Go to NVIC for a list of exemptions available to you.
I also encourage you to become a member of NVIC and follow the legislation that is happening in your state. Recently, multiple efforts have been made in order to remove your right to choose which vaccines your children receive. Efforts are also being made to mandate vaccines for all adults, and many of our “Women in Government” are being paid generously in order to pass these bills.
Whether you are for or against vaccines, I urge you to stand up for vaccine choice. Allowing vaccine mandates would mean that anything could be put on the schedule without any liability. This could lead to many more injuries and deaths and medical tyranny that will be difficult to overturn. The time to act is now.
Choose Your Pediatrician Wisely
A while back ago, I wrote a post titled 10 Things Your Doctor Should Know Before Injecting Your Child with a Vaccine. It has pertinent information regarding the selection of a knowledgeable and respectful doctor. The majority at this time, unfortunately, adhere strictly to AAP guidelines and enforce the CDC recommended vaccine schedule at all costs. Some will refuse to admit your child if you ask to alter the schedule in any way, and it’s important for you to know that there is often a financial incentive involved. Pediatricians receive bonuses from insurance companies for fully vaccinating the majority of their patients on schedule. This is an unfortunate practice that puts money before the needs of the children.
Should you find yourself in this predicament, do not allow yourself to be bullied to comply. If your child dies or is injured in any way, your doctor will not be held accountable and neither will the pharmaceutical companies. Your child is your responsibility, and if you are unsure at any of your visits, you have the right to say no or postpone until you are ready. If a doctor is not willing to respect your decision, find a new one. Doctors work for us, and it is up to us to choose wisely and support the doctors, who have our children’s best interests in mind. (You can read more about my experience of getting “fired” by our pediatrician and steps you can take if it happens to you by clicking here.)
I hope this post provides you with the information you need to make an informed choice. Considering the vaccine ingredients and specific vaccines along with your rights can be helpful in choosing what works best for your family, whether that’s administering all recommended vaccines, some of them, or none at all. If you are interested in learning more, I encourage you to click on the links throughout the post and read these 50 Studies compiled by the Vaccine Safety Commission. Click “Vaccines” at the top of this page for more blog posts as well. These are also a few sites that I have found to be helpful: World Mercury Project, Educate 4 the Injured, VaxTruth, NVIC, and VAXXED.
I pray you have peace whatever decision you make, and I pray for health and wellness for you and your family. Blessings to you and yours.
